Our approach included constructing a new, well scaled, official wing to serve as the main venue for official functions allowing the main house to revert back to a more residential function. The proposal also includes a range of sustainability measures allowing the property to work towards achieving deep green within a sensitive heritage context.

Ottawa-based Architecture, Urbanism and Conservation firm MTBA Associates has proposed a “radical rehabilitation” for the Prime Minister’s official Residence at 24 Sussex Drive, Ottawa.
